A wish fufilled

It's soo exciting, out of all the giveaways I've tried for I finally won one. The lovely Camille of Simplify was giving away a lovely little bundle of her Thimble Blossoms Blissful fabric. wooo hoo!! not only was it my first time to win something, it was the very first piece of mail to receive in my new place.

And as if that wasn't enough (and it soo was) she also sent me 3 (3!) patterns. My simple kitchen,Piece of cake(2) and Wild Thing! Wild Thing was my very first Wish List Wednesday and I have been drooling over it for literally months.

I cant wait to make something with all of them but especially my simple kitchen, with a new home, new kitchen and a new dining room table I have decorating to do and this pattern will help my new place feel like home!

and isn't her note card just too cute, it matched everything. coordinating stationary, Camille is truly a kindred spirit. Thanks Camille, I love them!

M.I.A.

a beautiful picture I found online, completly unrelated to anything but I heart purple

I've been missing from here for quite some time. There's posts rattling around my head, projects I've been working on and a whole host of things I want to do.

I moved and before that my laptop died. My wonderful Father-in-law has loaned me a laptop and hopefully as boxes get unpacked and I find a place for my fabric (our new place has a significantly less amount of closest space, this will be a challenge) I can update this more.

I sewed some projects tonight (with the help of my Mother-in-law who taught me how to sew and quilt in the first place) for the shower I talked about in this post and I took pictures of the process. I'll probably put some of those up in a couple of days and show off the finished project in a couple weeks after the shower. I'm soo excited about it and how its all starting to come together.

I heart my friends

My friends know me so well, I love it! here's a snippet of something the Lovely Lisa of Lisa Danielle Designs sent me. It made me giggle and my heart happy. It's all so true!

You know you are a quilter if...
There's more fabric in the house than food.
"Fat Quarters" are not the heaviest part of your body.
Your ironing board is always set up, but you never iron clothes.
You think of your job as an interruption on your quilting time.
You pet fabric.
People are always picking threads off of you.
You can measure a scant 1/4 by eye.
"Featherweight" doesn't mean boxer.
Your "UFOs" are not from outer space.
You clean up your sewing room and they think you are leaving.

I especially love the part about ironing boards, and the petting fabric
